Light Work Ministries began in North Georgia with a clear and purposeful goal — to go and make disciples, just as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:18–20, and to bring the hope of Christ into the heart of our local community.

Light Work’s mission is to mentor, disciple, and equip at-risk youth to break cycles of recidivism and hopelessness, raising up the future leaders our communities need

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and our team is led entirely by volunteers. Because of this, we depend on the generosity of people like you — not just financially, but also through the gift of your time, skills, and resources — to continue stepping into detention centers, group homes, and underserved spaces with the light of Jesus.

For Church & Community Partners:

What Would It Look Like if Churches and Nonprofits Joined Arms?

It would look like the Body of Christ moving as one — each part doing what it does best.

Nonprofits like Light Work bring access, structure, training, and on-the-ground relationships.

Churches bring people, pastoral care, discipleship, and a long-term spiritual home.

And together, we could:

• Reach youth who may never walk through a church door on their own

• Equip volunteers from many congregations to serve in high-need areas

• Fill gaps no single church or organization can fill alone

• Multiply impact across entire counties

• Spark revival in places most people overlook

This is the heart behind Light Work — not building our own kingdom, but building unity in the Kingdom.

We partner with churches to reach at-risk youth wherever they are: inside detention centers, foster homes, group homes, alternative schools, and community programs. Together, we can rewrite futures by bringing consistent mentorship, discipleship, and the hope of Jesus.

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
